Mamma's Market Pinktober Market Day October 2011

We were delighted to support the Cindy Mackenzie Breast Cancer Foundation at Mamma’s Market this month.

Leading up to our market we held a 24 hour Charity Auction on Facebook.  With over $4000 worth of fabulous auction items , we were so pleased to raise $2143.10.  It was so exciting to see the furious and fun bidding supporting this fantastic cause.

On market day, we also had the donation tins rattling and managed to $413.55 in loose change with the help from the friendly Donna from Simple Online Solutions.

A few stall holders  also bought pink ribbon merchandise to sell from their stall and were dressed to support our “Pinktober” theme, so it was lots of fun.

As a thank you to the many generous businesses who supported our Facebook Auction, we put together 200 Mamma’s Market goodie bags which were quickly snapped up by shoppers and were filled with market day offers from our "pinktober" stall holders and other goodies.

The Buderim Candle Company ran a candle making workshop that allowed people to "make and take" a candle on the day.  We're looking forward to having them back in November.

Another busy market with so many lovely products from new and favourite stallholder on offer to the many shoppers who came to say hello.

Again we were pleased to be able to support the Cindy Mckenzie Breast Cancer Foundation with the valuable work they do right here in our own Sunshine Coast backyard, and are looking forward to working with them in the future.
